Departments
MEDIA & SOCIAL MEDIA
The goal of the Media Department is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with our visually driven, ever-changing world through technology and communication. We also equip other church ministries to use digital and electronic media as tools for worship and outreach.Through these efforts, we enhance every gathering, communicate with our congregation, extend our reach beyond the church walls, and spread the message of the gospel.
Praise and worship under the new covenant are offered in spirit and in truth. We consider it a privilege to praise God with all that we have and a wonderful opportunity to do so together as a spiritual family. That is why we seek to offer Him praise and worship that touch His heart. At CVC, we celebrate Christ through songs and instruments, expressing His magnificence.
To help married couples discover and understand biblical principles that strengthen their relationship and reflect the values of God’s Kingdom. To help couples learn the foundations of marriage, navigate challenges, strengthen their bond, and enjoy their relationship more fully.Lasting success depends on how fully each spouse allows Christ to lead their life and commits to doing their part, making the necessary changes under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The Children’s Department serves as a bridge between generations, helping ensure the continuity and future of the church. We believe spiritual education and Christian character formation begin in the womb and are intentionally nurtured from a child’s earliest years. At CVC, we are committed to teaching the principles of God’s Kingdom, going beyond childcare to help children grow in their faith.
Women play a vital role in our church. God has blessed us with a wonderful group of women who truly love Him, love one another, and serve each other. They gather monthly for their “Time to Learn” under their distinctive motto: WOMEN WHO REIGN.They cultivate the character and nature of God’s Kingdom and reach other women by reflecting the life of Christ within them.
A team of Christian men who share a close relationship with God and strive to be good men, husbands, fathers, and citizens, committed to the Kingdom of Heaven, their local church, and God’s eternal mission. They help other men experience this same spiritual journey while building sincere friendships with one another. This department actively reaches out to men, connecting them with God and His Word to bring them to Christ, nurture their faith, and equip them to serve.
USHERS
Ushers visibly represent the pastors and the church, helping create a welcoming atmosphere in preparation for the service. They help ensure the worship service runs smoothly. They serve wholeheartedly, as though serving the Lord rather than people (Ephesians 6:7).
DEACONS
Deacons are men and women who willingly take on responsibilities to serve the church, its members, and the community. They see themselves as fellow workers who support the church’s overall mission, offering their services to the congregation’s departments across various areas of ministry. In this role, deacons make themselves available to the pastors and church departments, providing practical assistance wherever needed.
ELDERS
The mission of the elders is to guide, teach, protect, and love the members of the church, sharing in the pastors’ care for the congregation so that its members grow in spiritual maturity. They assist the pastors in carrying out the church’s mission, vision, objectives, and values.
GOVERNING BOARD
The Governing Board serves as the church’s administrative and legal body, while the elders provide spiritual and pastoral care. This distinction helps maintain order, transparency, and a clear focus on the mission. The Governing Board oversees the congregation’s institutional, legal, and financial administration. Its primary role is to ensure the church operates effectively, supporting its spiritual vision without replacing pastoral authority or the ministry of the elders.
SENIOR PASTORS
At CVC, we view the pastoral role from a simple yet clear perspective.Ephesians 4:12–13 reveals God’s goal for His church. Therefore, the pastoral role is clear and straightforward:“To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, growing into maturity, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”EPHESIANS 4:12–13
This church department serves as an evangelistic outreach to people who do not know the Lord, sharing testimonies, offering teaching, and addressing spiritual needs. This mission is carried out through:* Street evangelism.* Identifying households willing to host an hour of prayer and reflection on God’s Word.* Visiting people in hospitals who have a connection to our church.* Serving as messengers of the gospel to reach neighborhoods, friends, and families.* Building a team to welcome those who choose to visit our congregation.
